Farkle Inferno
Farkle Inferno Prototype
Balatro meets Farkle in a Kafkaesque Lynchian world.
Inspired by games like Balatro, Buckshot Roulette and cinema by late genius David Lynch comes a love letter to the roguelike genre in the form Farkle.
Play through 4 levels of increasingly difficult games of Farkle in this prototype of a roguelike game.
This game is dedicated to the loving memory of the one and only
Keep your eye on the doughnut, not on the hole.
- David Lynch, Catching the Big Fish
This "game" was made in 7 days (more like 2 cause I spend the rest playing balatro) for the SCREAM ROULETTE jam. The theme I rolled was "Set a game in a liminal, surrealistic or otherwise uncanny space" which just screamed David Lynch at me.
A lot of features had to be cut, and almost no testing was done. I believe this concept has a lot of cool potential, and I may consider turning it into a full game if there's an audience for something like this/depending on the reception this gets. 🤷
(As always for the best experience play the version exported for your OS.)
